Egwu in Igbo means dance while Eke is a python.The Nigerian military has just launched this dance.
This dance is a dance solely for the Nigerian Military deployed with great fanfare to the South East
where Biafra agitatators are holding sway.The military are the ones playing the music and dancing
the dance of the python.People are wondering who the spectators would be.
HOW DOES A PYTHON DANCE?
A python is a very large snake that kills the animal it eats by wrapping itself around them.
The name python has its origins in Greek mythology when Apollo killed a monstrous snake.
Pythons squeeze the life out of their prey.They feed on wild animals such as lizards,alligators
monkeys and antelope.The larger the meal,the longer it takes to digest.They become an easy prey when they have swallowed a huge prey and can be eisily clubbed to death.they are sluggish
in movement at one mile per hour.Pythons attack humans when hungry and angry.Black bears
Golden Eagles find pythons as easy prey.
It would be interesting to watch this python of the military, dance.It is a dance targeted
at trouble makers and criminals according to a statement by a military spokesman.The dance
will be one of stealth,suffocation and strangulation going by the known attributes of a real
python.It is a macabre dance,a dance of death and of mockery due to the treacherous
deceptive nature of snakes in the animal kingdom where baboons and dogs,hyenas and jackals
and other animals roam about seeking their own prey.Who would want to toy with a vicious
attack by a boa constrictor or eke in this kind of setting.
Let the pythons dance under dark clouds,a perfect setting for the musical fiesta.Applause
