OPERATION CROCODILE 2 ENTERS SOUTH WEST TO FIGHT CRIME.POLICE ON STAND BY

OPERATION THIS AND THAT IS NOW THE VOGUE IN NIGERIA

It was Operation 'Crocodile Smile" in the South South several months back
while Operation Lafiya Dole was still handling the intractable Boko Haram
insurgency in the North West.Lafiya Dole translated loosely means "Peace
is our goal"or Peace is Certain.On the other hand a crocodile while
devouring its prey cries non-stop,hence the saying which means hypocrisy.
If the cry of the crocodile implies hypocrisy,one imagines what its smile
would entail.
   Meanwhile in the South East Operation Python Dance is in full throttle.
The Air Force has joined the fray,doing acrobatics at low levels to the
consternation of the people.Some are saying that the fighter jets in use are
obsolete.Russian war planes last used more than 30 years ago whose parts
are no longer available.Some claim Innosson Motors Nnewi,Anambra State
helped them to fabricate the parts to help them put the jets including the Alpha
ones in air.We pray that the Navy should join with their warships too so they
can patrol Uvom brook,Iyinta/Okpo Rivers.Information has it that some naughty
boys dressed in Biafran Navy Uniforms were seen at these locations recently.
It will not be a bad idea to teach them a good lesson by shelling them from there.
   The Koko of the matter as we say in Nigeria has to do with the recent launch
of "Operation Crocodile Smile 2" in the South West.Political Leaders in the Zone
are crying blue murder.They are asking why bring in the military to fight Badoo
cult group or fight kidnappers when the Police can easily do the job.One of the leaders
even claimed that it was the Police with superior intelligence that arrested the notorious
Kidnapper Evans.So why bring in the military to fight crime.
It is only when civil authorities are overwhelmed that the military are invited to
take over in a proper taking/handing over process.Now the job of the Police is
being eroded while the Police looks the other way.The Police lost the gains it
made during the Shagari Regime soon after the military struck.All the Vehicles
that were used for anti riot like water canon ones were seized on the orders of the
military Ruler then.The Police is yet to recover from that military adventure of
yester years.
  The Operations would go round and we shall know the result soon.Our fingers
are crossed.
