ATTORNEY GENERAL OF NIGERIA MALAMI SPEAKS ON NORTHERN YOUTHS

The Attorney General of Nigeria and Minister of Justice has reacted to the recent Arewa quit
notice issued to Igbo living in the northern part of Nigeria.Yesterday we on this forum had
posted that the AG was expected to make a statement on this.We were right in our expectation.
Abubakar Malami said that the federal government could not arrest the people behind the quit notice
for fear of a backlash if they were arrested.He refeered to what he called security implications.
The security implications were not disclosed.
There is no doubt that the IPOB will definitely react to this latest development in the days ahead
bearing in mind that the same AG had called for the rearrest of Nnamdi Kanu,the head of The
Indigenous Peoples of Biafra.We shall keep all our readers posted on developments as regards this and other
security implications of the situation.
